Our History

1949
Quaker Oats opens a central machine shop in Oregon, Illinois.

1972
Cook Manufacturing purchases the Quaker Oats machine shop and Fred Smith relocates to Oregon, Illinois to serve as Plant Manager

1988
Fred Smith becomes the owner of the company and establishes F.N. Smith Corporation

For instance, our engineering staff is involved on the shop floor to ensure that the standards for your projects are successfully met and to stay up-to-date on manufacturing requirements.
